We’ve all heard the adage there is no “I” in team. Team sports require the highest degree of partnership and real-time cooperation between members of the same squad. To deviate from this principle lowers the overall performance of the team. As humans it’s hard to blend our individual dreams and abilities with the broader team. Centering on the ultimate goal of winning fosters elite synchronicity.
In God’s community we are the most effective when our hearts and minds are intertwined in spiritual unity. If we place the furtherance of Christ’s kingdom as the most important goal we’ll work to stay within the bounds of brotherly love. As brothers and sisters in Christ, elevating His purposes and priorities above our own will take us to the highest levels of kingdom effectiveness. That’s eternal teamwork!
“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.” Ps 133:1
